Color mixing

One day a student came to me to join in my art classes. She said to me ” I know painting. All I need is some color mixing tips… Could you tell me? ” 

I told her, ” I have not yet understood painting completely. So you are more knowledgeable than me, ” and I paused for a moment and said again ”… and moreover I never thought about color mixing. ”
